The Geosoft Latinoamerica team recently celebrated its 15th anniversary with customers at Hotel Ouro Verde in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro.
Geosoft presence in Brasil dates back to the 1985, and the company officially opened its Latinoamerica office in 1995. Since then Geosoft has focused on establishing strong customer relationship within South America’s robust petroleum and mineral exploration industries, government and the academic sector.
“It’s been a pleasure and an honour to partner with industry leaders such as Vale and Petrobras over the past 15 years, and to serve the technology needs of the diverse geoscience community based in Brasil and across South America,” said Ana Cristina Chaves, Managing Director of Geosoft Latinoamerica.
Today, Geosoft has 6 offices around the world, and distributors in both Russia and China. “Outside of the company’s corporate headquarters in Toronto, Geosoft Latinoamerica is our largest office,” said Ian MacLeod, Geosoft’s CTO and founder. “This speaks to the importance of Brasil and South America, both to exploration and to Geosoft. Our success in this region is a credit to the team, and its focus on providing great service to customers. We’re excited to see what the next 15 years will bring for exploration in South America, and you can be sure that Geosoft will be here to help. ”
