The Role of Geophysics in Agrogeology

on February 10, 2015

This presentation describes Agrogeology, a relatively new interdisciplinary science that deals with the relationship between parent material and soil fertility, and the use of agrominerals to improve soils (rocks for crops).

Airborne and ground geophysical methods, specifically radiometrics and magnetics, are tested as tools for application in soil fertility assessments, soil mapping, and are applied in exploration for agrominerals specifically phosphate rocks.
